OH, I LOVE THIS CLEVER CAT!
He's very boldly calculating, carefully studying... something just out of his reach (and our eyesight). His pale green eyes are wide and alert! Handmade and hand painted on stoneware clay - the red background is multi-toned with a bit of orange, but the cat is strictly black and white! The interior is clean white and the rim has a slender line of green! Of course it's a great mug for coffee or tea anytime!

CARE:
I suggest hand washing, but mugs are dishwasher, microwave and food safe.

PROCESS: I make my pieces from clay slabs, by hand. This mug was layered with several coats of underglaze so that the colors would take on a multi-toned surface. The mug was fired and touched up as needed, and then several coats of clear satin matte glaze best were applied inside and out before the final firing.
