GOTLANDS BLOMMANDE VÄGKANTER (dark red)

This print, "Gotlands Blommande Vägkanter", is made from a handcarved linoblock, printed by hand with oil based printing ink.
Gotlands blommande vägkanter means "Gotland´s flowering roadsides". The flowers on this print is showing a few of the very important species that blossoms on the roadsides on Gotland - Swedens biggest island, in the Baltic sea. My home island. The flowering roadsides is important for preserving threatened species of both flora and fauna.

Paper:
Leightweight, handmade acid free paper from Nepal, with deckled edges. Plant fibers are visible on the surface of the paper.
Lokta paper 65g

Ink:
Cranfield Traditional oil based relief ink.
