Absolutely beautiful vintage doll dressed in a traditional Russian costume. I read that this type of doll was made during the Soviet Era and sold in state sponsored shops that catered only to outsiders visiting the country. Even if she was created as a bit of propaganda, she is simply lovely. She is made of a very soft vinyl like material and her legs bend, allowing to sit up. She has little shoes and jewelry to match her dress, sash, apron, and headdress. She's best about 19" tall and is in excellent condition considering her age. Precious!.
