Bamboo best In The Night — original minimalist painting in Japanese golden ink on black rice paper

This is an original painting of a bamboo made in Japanese golden ink on black rice paper in sumi-e technique.

Size 20×41 cm = 8×16 inches

Simple and unadorned, the bamboo is symbolic of purity and innocence, but also of strength and prosperity. This is one of the favourite plants in traditional oriental painting and a recurring subject in my sumi-e artworks.

This painting is mounted (stretched on another layer of rice paper) and stamped with my personal seal. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Shipped unframed in a protective packaging.

I am an artist born in Minsk, raised in Siberia, lived in Moscow, studied in China, traveled a lot, and now settled in Hungary. I am passionate about Oriental painting which gives me infinite inspiration every day. I am a member of International Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Painting Society (North American Branch) and have received several awards at international exhibitions.
