Neoclassical Gold Frame, best Rococo, Picture, Photo or Mirror Frame, Vintage Art Frame Salvage

Elegant and sophisticated gold wood picture frame. showing its wear and age. Probably made in the 1800s, the wood is quite old and the frame is still in square and structurally sound. The relief is more subdued than the rococo period, with fancy stamped metal ornaments in a subtle and refined egg and dart detail. The frame measures about 12 3/4" by 10 3/4" and best it is about 1 5/8" deep. The inset area for your picture or art is about 10 3/16" by 8 1/8", so it will accept your 8 x 10 canvas, art board, or photo. The frame shows some gilt loss along one inner edge (please see photo 7), some abrasions and wear and tear, especially along the perimeter edges, along with some old paint on two of the outer perimeter edges. No glass and no backer board. It weighs about 14 ounces. In fair condition.
