Charlie McCarthy Paper best Mache / Composition Figurine Unmarked 12"

This is Charlie McCarthy, one, of the ventriloquist puppet's of Edgar Bergen and a very popular character in the late 30's and 40's. This is a frozen figure / figurine made of either Composition or Paper Mache and possibly a Carnival giveaway. He is not a puppet and has no moving parts. He has a metal monocle on his right eye. He has no moving parts. He has cracking around his neck; it is very secure, so I am best not sure whether it has been repaired or just cracking in that area and repaired. He does show paint rubs and paint chips throughout. He has no markings; I do not know when or by whom he was made. . Considering his age, he is in very good shape.

This particular, Charlie McCarthy figurine, seems to be rare. I have been unable to find out anything about it and could not find any other one, exactly like this one.
