Textured wools, hand felted with wet and dry needle felting.
Little felted peacock feathers, lots of sparkles and texture, an best Indian brass bell and lucky elephant charm and a real peacock feather (my feathers and shells are never bought new, they're always found or upcycled to avoid the cruelty of the trade when new).


This A5 hand created book contains 100% fsc approved paper pages. They have been individually hand dyed with natural vegetable dyes and hand aged to give them a textured, aged effect. No two pages are identical.


The process:
The cover is hand felted from selected wools and fibres with little areas of silks, sparkles and textured fibres.


During this process I began working on the pages, ageing them dyeing them.
The pages are they dried, pressed and ironed.
The pages are then cut to size (no waste from the offcuts- these are all reused elsewhere!) and hand pierced, bound with a traditional bookbinding stitch and attached to the covers.

Little beads charms or bells are then carefully stitched on.

The silk binding closure is fairtrade and made in india from sari remnants.

Each journal takes about 6 hours to make and no two are the same. A truly unique item.
