Forged Spike / Awl / Pick / Scribe / Marlin Spike with best a twist

This is a hand forged awl / pick / scribe / spike - I was inspired by pictures of antique Japanese needles, that could be used (among other things) to stitch samurai leather armor.

The sharp and pointy tip is hardened and tempered, so pick, open packages, scribe wood or soft metal, and scratch away at things!

Spike come with a snug, hand-stitched leather sleeve, with a copper rivet.

This is another one of my one-of-a-kind items - you're getting the exact tool and sheath shown in pictures.

It's hand forged, twisted, hand-ground to final shape, heat treated, and hand-finished.

Material - best New (not recycled) US-made, medium carbon tool steel (5160)
