Product Name: Mid best Century Blackamoor Ashtray/Bowls
Ca. 1935-1950 In the BLACKAMOOR style. Pair of ceramic figurines holders; depicting a woman and a man, each is wearing a turban with gold trim and loose pants with a gilt tie at the waist and gold shoes. Both are holding a large deep bowl with gilt trim and leafage detail at the top, each on right or left side of hip with right or left hand behind the back, on a textured round raised base. Each figurine measures 13” in height. The best man does have some wear on his shoulder and on his arm It is believed that at one time each of these would contain a glass bowl as an ashtray but still completely functional with a deep bowl built in to each piece.
