best A spray of pink and white phalaenopsis, or moth, orchids are featured in this original watercolor painting. Speckles on the orchids were made with a colored pencil and the painting has a dark indigo and dark green background to let the orchids stand out. The artwork measures 8" x 10" on 9" x 11" paper so it has a small white border around the painting. This was a demonstration painting for my adult watercolor classes to demonstrate painting dark backgrounds.
