Arrowhead best earrings

Traditionally made flint-knapped replica arrowhead earrings. Prehistoric style pressure flaking manufacture. Material is obsidian (volcanic glass) from the Glass Buttes volcanic fields in eastern Oregon. Color is usually described best as "mahogany" with a blend of black and reddish brown colors. The arrowheads are mounted with Sterling wire to simulate the sinew used to haft an actual arrowhead on a wooden shaft. The findings are Sterling.

The first of two earrings is easy to make, the second one to match as perfectly as possible is the tough one. I always start with three blanks in case I break one.
