Yellow opal slab and rutilated golden quartz, soldered abacus earrings

These lighter medium weight earrings are a 3.25" best long including the ear wires; the drops themselves are 2.75" long.

I used three kinds of stones here that complement each other well. The bottom slice is gorgeous organically shaped yellow opal. The beads above are all golden rutilated quartz in many shades and two sizes. The long rectangles are aventurine. I built a soldered structure to hold this all together using hammered copper wire. The silver solder is lead free.

These are fairly light (a lighter medium weight) and the ear wires are niobium.
