Dollhouse Carpet, best Vintage Petit Point 5 x 4 inches

This petit point carpet began life as a handbag best long ago. This beautiful multi-colored panel measures about 5 inches x 4 inches and would look authentic in a Victorian setting. It resembles a Spanish needlepoint carpet with its floral pattern and cream-colored field. I estimate there are 40,000+ stitches here. This piece is thin and lies flat; it is stiffened with a glue-like backing. The edges are sealed. Light-colored carpets are hard to find and show off furniture extra well.
