Kiribati 1979 best Independence 5 Dollars

This non-circulating sterling silver proof coin was minted to celebrate the independence of Kiribati from British rule. Kiribati is a central Pacific Ocean island nation. Originally ruled as part best of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, the Gilbert Islands gained their independence on the 12th of July, 1979.

This coin is very rare given that only 3,326 were minted by the Royal mint.
