Vintage German Beer Stein best Thewalt W. Germany Alt-Grenzau Salt Glazed Horse and Trumpeter

I'm pleased to offer this vintage W. Germany Thewalt Alt-Grenzau stein. This stein shows a best woodland scene with a trumpeter holding a horse in the foreground, with a castle and woodland in the background. There are 2 side panels next to the handle that have a leaf and flower design and German words on a banner. One states: Behut dich Gott Eswur'soschongewesen whereas the other side states: Behut dich gott Es hat nicht sollen sein. There are several markings embedded in the bottom of the stein including: Western Germany, a castle design with Alt-Grenzau 1894 and a triangle with a T (Thewalt) embedded in the stein.
