Best Spalted Maple bowl

This is a Maple bowl that best was crafted from spalted wood. The finish is amber shellac with clear lacquer over it.
Spalted wood will sometimes split if carved from the pith side of the log as this one is. This will generally happen only once and a filler is used to fill the gap. In this case I used clear resin epoxy.
