Lovely floral design framed by a deep green turquoise with gold detail, on this early Austrian (sugar shaker style) piece. Would have to be used as a hat pin holder or decoration, as the bottom has been covered over. 

This piece is in excellent preowned vintage condition. There are no chips cracks or crazing. Gold foil decoration around the top is still quite whole. Just a lovely piece!

Stamped Austria and K. The hat best pins come in a variety of shapes and colors. There are black and white “working girl” styles (one is 12” long). A hand sewn pin. A couple of wooden top pins. An Amber colored topped pin. There is a silver turtle with blue glass. A faceted purple glass piece. A Limoges piece. A floral copper with Black Cabochon. A repurposed brooch piece which would be newer. I'm not an expert. Just describing what I see. Please look at the photos. Some of the actual pin parts have some rust here and there.
