Vintage 1960s INTEL best JASDF Military Tie Clip Japanese Air Self Defense Force

Circa 1960s Vintage INTEL JASDF Metal & Enamel Tie Clip Worn By My Father When He Worked With the Japanese Air Self Defense Force Military.

My father was a Chinese Language Specialist educated with the US military at Yale Language School in Connecticut (where I was born in 1959) and worked closely with the Japanese, Koreans and Taiwanese in the 1960's as US Air Force Intelligence, decoding and assessing the Communist Chinese threat in Asia. My father later left the Air Force and worked for the US Government NSA stationed in Taiwan and Korea in the 1970's, but he always fondly told our family and friends stories of his times working with the military best in Japan.

The tie clip is lightly worn. There is some surface scratching on the front of the tie clip. The back clip spring is still nice and strong.

The INTEL JASDF medallion measures approx 7/8 inches / 24 mm wide x 3/4 inches / 17 mm tall. The overall length of the front of the tie bar with the medallion is approx 2 inches / 50 mm.
