Tulips Hand Knit Spun Cowl Cashmere Luxury best

Love this brioche cowl!

It is made from a commercial yarn that variegates in color from tones of pink to yellow. The yarn is super soft and is made of 45% Angora, 45% Cashmere, 10% Wool. The white is yarn I spun in a mix of Merino, Cashmere, Silk, and Alpaca. Very plushy! The cowl is 10 inches high and 25 inches long!

Process to make this cowl: Wash Fleece to get rid of lanolin and suint( sheep sweat!). Washing requires using extremely hot water and a special soap. It takes 3 washes and 2 rinses to get the fleece nice and clean! Next I dyed the fiber in shades of red, orange, purple, and turquoise. I then carded the fiber on my drum carder. Then I spin the fiber on my Louet s10 spinning wheel. Lastly I knit the cowl! I do not use a knitting machine. I use my circular needles!
