Original watercolour mural art and embroidery on orange sepia grey paper by Quebec artist Mylene Raiche - Connecting the Dots #4

Connecting the Dots is a series of drawings and best embroidery on paper that I have been working on for several years. Each drawing is made by marking dots on the paper and then connecting them with cotton thread. The embroidery is then immersed in water before I place drops of ink and watercolor on it. The water inside the wires pushes the pigments and makes them move until they are dry, making the final design almost impossible to predict, unique and original.

This one measures 9" wide x 12" high. I used watercolor paper, cotton thread, black China ink, sepia and shiny gold watercolor ink and fluorescent orange/pink sewing thread. Note that the framework is not included.
