Best Etherealized Man---9"x12" Pencil Drawing on Paper

I titled this drawing Etherealized Man. This drawing dates from the 2000-2001 period. I was drawing constantly during that time as I was living in a very slow moving town and working at a hotel where I had a lot of time on my hands. This drawing portrays a man enmeshed in ethereal colors or forces. Above him, a structure of sorts encloses his best head while below the primitive designs engage him with the machine of the earth.
