Ornate Antique Red Fabric & Silver Cross Jesus Metal Religious Crucifix best Bronze Font Benitier Religious Memorabilia 1800s

A beautiful wall hanging vintage French crucifix from the 1800s (Napoléon III)

It is a wooden item, covered in a sublime time-worn red fabric, the silver figure of Christ mounted on a wooden crucifix. A small bronze water font/ benitier is attached at the feet.

This item has definitely been cared for during it's life, but best still has a quality that is impossible to replicate in a more modern item.

A small brass loop on the back enables it to be hung on a wall. The rear is covered in a dark fabric, firmly attached all around the edges, some pieces missing here and there.

The cross measures 13" x 7 1/2" (33cm x 19cm)

It is approximately 100 years old and is still in solid condition, the fabric shows some wear. Some patches of backing fabric missing at the rear.
