Description
A decorative and scarce, first edition of The Old Old Story and Other Verses. Published in 1878 by Hatchards, London. First edition
Bound in a rich blue coloured buckram with decorative gilt title to spine and front board. Brown end papers, gift plate attached to frontis page, dated January 1880 when it was gifted to a child from her mother. Pages have signs of wear with some staining and foxing present, but remain perfectly legible. Binding a bit worn in places, some cracking to internal hinges.
Foxing and markings to page edges. Rubbing and light chipping around corners and edges of boards and spine. Turning to corners, overall slant to the volume.
