Description
best Stunning example of rustic brutalist pottery made in Germany, numbered old style with large old tree stump logo across bottom. Drip glaze on outer edge flows to about 1/2 distance to base. Inside is mottled red and brown. No cracks or nicks that I can see. No crazing. This piece could be pre-war as it does not say West or East Germany and the script of the "Germany" and the numbers are from the type used in the 1930's. No provenance.
