his and hers. hers and his. super sweet mugs from the 1960-70s with a darling heart shaped coaster. swoon. the HERS is a polished lady, in an orange cloche with flowers around the band and a orange sleeve .... the HIS is a dapper man in a bowler hate with a blue striped band, a wonderfully shaped mustache, and a blue sleeve. the tray/coaster has notches for the mugs to sit in.

* Shafford may sound like an English company, but it was actually based out of Japan. They were well known for their mugs depicting famous people, whimsical animal pieces, and novelty items. They imported their wares to the US from 1940 until the 1970s.

measurements ♥
the mugs are 4 inches tall. 2 2/3 inches in diameter. each holds 1 cup (8 ounces) of liquid.
the heart shaped best coaster is 7 1/4 inches x 6 inches.

condition ♥
excellent condition! I love that all 3 pieces still have the Shafford stickers on the bottoms and the stickers are crisp and clean ... it is a sign that these were never used. oh swoon! that makes this set a perfect gift for newlyweds, anniversaries, or just a romantic gift for a special someone.
