This Yunomi (you-no-me) is based on a traditional Japanese form but can be used as an all-purpose drinking cup. The joy in creating these pieces is to do so in a variety of shapes and glazes, all different! They can also be considered as teacups and beakers and used for juice, tea, wine, scotch or any liquid you choose.

In lieu of a traditional Japanese Tomobako box maker, I have best chosen to use a Mokusei shigābokkusu (wooden cigar box) to present my high-quality ceramic tea bowls and teacups.

All of my pottery is hand made by me on the potter's wheel using custom clay and glazes that I formulate, using high fire stoneware and porcelain @ 2380 degrees. I display only the best products that I can. Oven, microwave and dishwasher safe – however, all stoneware and porcelain react poorly to sudden extremes of hot and cold but will work fine for heated and cooled liquids.
