Antique WARRANTED SUPERIOR Carpenter Panel best Hand Saw, Medallion, Carved Handle; 22 Inch Steel Blade, 11 PPI ; Circa Early 1900s

Antique Warranted Superior 22" cross cut 11 PPI (points per inch) panel hand saw with carved wheat design on one side best of the rosewood handle. Original medallion with Eagle in the center; original screws. The number 11 can be seen faintly engraved on the steel blade below the handle, near the teeth. Found at an estate sale; the owner had been a carpenter and had this lovely old saw in his large wooden toolbox. Circa very early 1900s. Warranted Superior was a "second line" saw made by well-known saw maker Disston. Comfortable grip with the wood handle. No rust to the blade. Handle shows age and use, as should be expected. Still functional. Great addition to a collection!

Special steel saw blade measures 22" long on the teeth side and 18" long at the top of the blade. The lovely handle measures 7" at the top and 5" at the bottom; 4" tall. Overall length with handle, 25".
